Dear all, thanks for your participation and contribution at the great fund raising function on 19 February 2006. As you are aware around 30 people including few children came to our function.

Paid by PriyoAustralia.com on behalf of Bangali Community in Canberra

You will be happy to know we have raised A$820 for the "Children with Cancer" at the Canberra Hospital. The money will be donated on behalf of the Bangladeshi-Canberran to the nominated "Giggle fund" today. Thanks to Salma apa and Jainal vai for counting the money. Thanks also to Avijit and Priyonka for their contribution: few lovely songs! Finally thanks to all who brought those 'yummy' foods, tea coffee and drinks.

Thanks to us all for commencing such a great initiate in Canberra. Hope to do more in the future!

It would be difficult for community members to take such initiative without your active encouragement. We highly appreciate your proactive support inspiring us to conduct such event.

On behalf of PriyoAustralia.com, Farhad Reza Probal was on the radio this morning just before 8.00am. Informing Mark and Lisa about our achievement and congratulated them on their great initiative. They were highly excited and requested me to convey their high appreciation and a huge thanks to all our community members.

This event was organised and supported by PriyoAustralia.com. and promoted by the Bangladesh Australia Association Canberra Inc. We have also thanked the High Commissioner for letting us use the venue.

PriyoTeam [20 February 2006, revised on 23 February 2006]

Can we Bangladeshi-Australians GIVE the

Sick children of CANBERRA A “GIGGLE”?

 YES we Can.  Let’s Help!

This is a great opportunity for us to put

a positive mark on the society.

It’s a state of the art Remote controlled robot which can interact through speech and movement.

The cost of a “Giggle” is expensive…$80,000. But what it gives to the kids is just priceless. So MIX106.3 wants to raise the $80,000 to get a “Giggle” for the Canberra Hospital. They have already raised $40,000.

We are proposing to do a combined donation on behalf of the Bangladeshi-Canberrans.

Please donate and help us Give Canberra a Giggle!!

Together we can make a difference.

Please join us to an afternoon tea party with light entertainment on

Sunday 19 February 2006 at 3.30pm

at the Bangladesh High Commission
