Dear all,
 One of
my CSE L-2 T-I student and a younger member of this CSEBUET family, Md. Atiqur
Rahman Hridoy is suffering from acute Leukomia (Blood cancer). There is nothing
to say anything new about the treatment challenge of this life threatening
disease. This afternoon I have visited him in the hospital and have a long talk
with his father. The supervising doctor Porf. Dr. A. B. M. Yonus describes the
condition at primary stage and suggests shifting him to Bangkok for the bone
marrow transplant immediately (within two weeks); otherwise his cure will be
questioned. This treatment, as you all know, requires immense amount of money
(approximately more than 40 lakh Tk.) which is hardly manageable by his banker
father. So in this respect I humbly request you, all of our BUET alumnae,
students studying abroad, professionals working in big companies, teachers,
researchers and other solvent persons) and others whom you can manage, to make
financial contribution for his treatment as extensively as you can.
Hridoy is one of my direct students. When he was in L-1 T-I, I took the
programming language sessional class of them. He is quite gentle and polite. In
the sessional class he always sit-in the leftmost computer in the entering row
of the SEL lab. His performance in the class was outstanding. He produced all
assignments on time, and especially he was one of the fewest students who made
all the online
(spot) assignments done on the same day. He scored 124 out of 130 in the
assignments.
This Hridoy is now lying on a bed in IPGMR hospital with a deadly disease
inside. Let's try our best to bring him back to his campus, to the long corridor
of the department where he once walked along with his fellow classmates.
Again, I urge all of your best effort support as early as possible, as we have
pretty small margin of time (at most two weeks). If the Almighty wishes, all of
our supports can save a life of an only son of a struggling father.
